Announced hazards
Steam names computer viruses, police raids, air strikes, and other workplace disasters as part of the game. The developers describe increasingly chaotic workdays. Those announcements confirm that hazards exist, but do not give their complete triggers or solutions.
During a disruption
Read the on-screen instruction and communicate it to teammates. If the current game supplies an objective or interaction prompt, follow that instruction. This is general guidance; it does not establish a universal escape route or recovery action.
Timers, penalties and equipment
The cited sources do not verify a fixed evacuation countdown, a heat threshold for a raid, a particular fine, a guaranteed cable-pulling escape, or a paper-shredder upgrade that prevents confiscation. Do not budget around those assumptions.
Useful observations to retain
If documenting a hazard, note the game build, the event name as displayed, what immediately preceded it, the prompt shown, and the outcome of the action you took. One occurrence is not enough to establish a fixed probability or prove that an action always prevents the event.
For the separate computer-virus hazard, see the scambaiter notes.
